Patrol Officer

We seek an individual to provide quality law enforcement services to its citizens, businesses, and visitors. The anticipated hiring salary range is $50,000-$60,000 for certified officers. An offer will be commensurate with experience, training, and DOE. The Town offers an excellent benefits package, including a take-home vehicle program, relaxed facial hair policy, 11-hour fixed DAY shift, paid training, and Virginia Retirement System with higher multiplier hazardous duty pay (LEO’S program).
Qualifications include education equivalent to graduation from high school; must be 21 years of age (upon completion of field training); must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license; must be a citizen of the United States, or possess permanent resident status.; no convictions of felonies or crimes involving moral turpitude or domestic violence; must not have been released or discharged under dishonorable conditions from any U.S. Military Services. Applicants must complete an oral interview, extensive background investigation, medical examination, and drug screening.
