Residential Tap Fees
Establishing Water / Sewer Service For New Commercial Construction:
The Town of New Market requires customers to come to the Town Office to establish service for new construction. We have forms for both water and sewer connection requests. The homeowner or the general contractor may complete these forms. Please note that all out-of-town water and/or sewer connections must be approved by the Town Council. The water meter setup for a 3/4″ or 5/8″ connection has a $785.97 fee if one doesn’t exist on the premises. Connections larger than 5/8″ should contact the Town Office in order to obtain a quote. - Each apartment or commercial unit – one full connection fee plus 1/4 connection fee for each unit over one*
- Each unit in a hotel, motel, tourist home – $75.00
- Nursing home, convalescent home, assisted care facility – one full connection fee based upon meter size, plus $150.00 per patient room
Out-of-Town
- Each apartment or commercial unit – one full connection fee plus 1/4 connection fee for each unit over one*
- Each unit in a hotel, motel, tourist home – $175.00
- Nursing home, convalescent home, assisted care facility – one full connection fee based upon meter size, plus $300.00 per patient room

- Each apartment or commercial unit – one full connection fee plus 1/4 connection fee for each unit over one*
- Each unit in a hotel, motel, or tourist home – $75.00
- Nursing home, convalescent home, assisted care facility – one full connection fee based upon meter size, plus $150.00 per patient room
